Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag DLC

Hello fellow assassins,

Emma here and this post will cover all the DLC that has been announced for AC4.

First is the season pass:

Ubisoft have developed a DLC in the form of a season pass for a game that hasn’t even been released yet which, of course, is absolutely brilliant.

The season pass will allow access to extra single-player missions, multiplayer content and personalisation items as well as access to ALL DLC packs for Black Flag (yay!)

All that aside, we’ll also be able to take control of an assassin named Adewale (I keep calling him ‘Aid Whale’ for some reason) and said assassin is Edward’s first mate so he will probably make many appearances in Aid Whale’s adventures.

I think the only thing I’m a bit put off by is that people who buy the game on the PS3 gain exclusive content in the form of Aveline, the heroine from Liberation. Yeah, I know Liberation was on the PS Vita but that doesn’t mean they should be the only console to get exclusive content!

Anyway, the season pass has been priced around £13 so we should be expecting a good amount of content from this DLC. I just hope it won’t turn out to be some over-priced golden ticket to disappointment (I don’t know if you noticed but I was trying to be dramatic)

Anyway, next up is “The Watch” DLC pack

This is like the VIP DLC for AC4 and features unique content like additional information, bonus rewards and access to a unique quest only for ViP players.

Lastly, “The  Black Island” DLC

  • Gives access to the treasure-hunting quest line “Black Island”
  • Possess the deadly Black Ship
  • Possess the legendary silver flintlock pistols
  • Access to multiplayer items like a new costume, picture and title

All these DLC packs are linked as a pre-order bonus for special editions.

This is all the DLC that has been announced for Black Flag but I will still keep this post updated with any more information.

‘Fun Fact’: Black Flag’s assassin, Edward Kenway is actually the grandfather of AC3’s assassin, Connor. You probably already knew that but…well…never mind.
